Nike x JD Sports
It was New York Fashion Week, and Nike launched a new line of women’s athletic wear, available exclusively at JD Sports. To promote this collection, they introduced the “Your World, Your Runway” campaign, which featured several videos showcasing runways in various locations with women modeling items from the new line. These scenes aimed to depict empowering images of women and celebrate feminine strength.
The campaign also included an activation event at the JD Sports flagship store in Times Square. This event offered various activities for influencers and patrons, including a mini virtual fashion show. Guests could try on clothes from the new line and walk on a treadmill in front of a green screen. They were then placed into a virtual New York City street scene with a runway using the same carpet from the videos. These short runway clips were live-cast to screens within the store and then provided to guests to share on their social media accounts.
My role involved creating the 3D environment for the users. I modeled and placed the carpet within the scene, adjusted the time of day, and set the camera position according to the client’s preferences. I then animated the camera to match the pace of an average runway strut. Additionally, I was there on the day of the event, live-editing each video as it came in to ensure they met the required dimensions and export specifications for the screens in the JD Sports store.
